Setting up a RegusDomain Email Account in Eudora
If this is the first time you've used Outlook Express or you don't currently have any other accounts under it, click here to skip to step 2.

Step 1 (Creating a new mail account)
  • Start Eudora
  • If it loads up immediately with "New Account Wizard", click here to skip to step 2.
  • Under the Tools menu, click Personalities.
  • In the left-hand pane (Under where is says "Persona"), right-click "" and then click New....

Step 2 (Adding a new account)
  • Make sure "Create a brand new email account" is selected, then click Next.
  • (If it shows "Personality Name", then enter something descriptive to identify this account such as your domain name or email address, then click next).
  • For Your name, enter the name (not the email address) you'd like to appear in the "From" line of your emails. For instance, "John Smith" or "RegusDomain Sales". Click Next.
  • For E-mail address, enter the email address you'd like to use at your domain. For example: john@my-domain.ca, webmaster@my-domain.ca, info@my-domain.ca, etc. Click Next.
  • If you've already set up an email address, enter the full email address in as the Login name, and it's password for Password. If you haven't yet set up an email address (or you're using a MiniSite), put your full domain name in for Login name. Click Next.
  • Set Incoming Server as your domain name. For example: my-domain.ca. Make sure POP is checked, then click Next.
  • Set Outgoing Server as your domain name. For example: my-domain.ca. Make sure Allow Authentication is checked, then click Next.
  • Click Finish.

  • Some major ISP's (such as AOL,Sympatico,MSN,etc) block outgoing email. If you're using one of these providers, or you receive this error when trying to send an email:
Could not connect to "my-domain.ca" Cause: connection refused (or Connection closed by foreign host)
Unfortunately Eudora does not allow you to specify an alternative outgoing mail server port. You will have to: go to the Tools menu, and click Personalities. Right-click on the relevant personality ("<Dominant>" if you only have one), then change the SMTP server to the SMTP server provided by your ISP for your ISP mail account.
